About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at InterEx Group. As a key member of our cloud infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our distributed computing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Identify and resolve short-term problems and translate them into structural improvements on our distributed data and compute platform infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with application developers, infrastructure engineers, and other teams to create awareness about methods and procedures, share knowledge, and improve the overall quality of our systems.
  • Improve System Resilience: Develop and implement automated testing and automation to increase stability and reliability of our cloud platform.
  • Customer Satisfaction and Product Reliability: Focus on delivering high-quality products that meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Technical Roadmap Maintenance: Maintain and update our technical roadmap to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Support Feature and Service Requests: Provide timely support for feature and service requests from the field.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Distributed Computing Systems: Must have practical experience with distributed computing systems.
  • Experience with Build and Release Infrastructure: Experienced in build and release infrastructure, including Maven, Nexus, Bamboo, and Github.
  • Scripting Language Skills: Familiar with at least one scripting language, such as Python.
  • Experience with Ansible: Experience with Ansible is required.
  • Linux Expertise: Must be a Linux expert.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with DC/OS: Experience with DC/OS is highly valued.
  • Experience with New Technology Introduction: Experience with introducing new technology at zero downtime, including data migration.
  • Automatic Testing and Qualification: Familiarity with automatic testing and qualification, and experience with incorporating it into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Networking Issues: Affinity for digging deep into networking issues.
