Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Operational Risk Manager to join our team in Hamburg or Stockholm. As a key member of our Operational Risk and Algo Oversight (ORAO) team, you will play a vital role in strengthening and evolving our culture of risk management within BA Markets.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and monitoring internal risk and control frameworks in line with industry best practices, internal policies, and legal and regulatory requirements.
- Leading the analysis of operational risk incidents and driving corrective actions.
- Performing risk assessments and analysis activities, proposing appropriate mitigations, and designing risk-related reports for different levels of the organization.
- Continuously developing the Operational Risk framework in BA Markets.
- Supporting the team in developing Algorithmic trading control frameworks.
We are looking for a well-rounded professional with a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with attention to detail. RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant financial, technical, or engineering degree or equivalent.
- Over 5 years' experience in the energy, financial, or similar sectors.
- A good understanding of risk management frameworks and best practices, including experience in risk management and assessment, operational risk incident management, and analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (with Swedish and/or German language skills being an asset).
- An understanding of the energy business and energy trading is an advantage.
- 2nd line of defense knowledge is an advantage.
