Head of IT Infrastructure Management

LOCATION: Bremen
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the portfolio of initiatives, tasks, and incidents within the IT Infrastructure domain.
- Administer the inventory of IT Assets related to IT Infrastructure (both commercial and technical).
- Ensure effective service delivery and business continuity across IGEL's operational departments.
- Provide direction and mentorship to the team.
- Collaborate closely with IGEL's management team.
- Enhance the skills and capabilities of individual team members.
- Conduct recruitment interviews and performance evaluations.
- Significantly contribute to the optimization of IGEL's end-to-end business processes in partnership with various business units.
- Initiate, plan, and execute projects focused on IT Infrastructure and IT Asset Management.
- Advocate for industry trends, best practices, and sustainable architecture for IT Infrastructure.
- Manage the escalation and coordination of major incidents.
- Lead the development of IT Management as a cohesive team.
- Engage, contract, and oversee external service providers in accordance with SLAs and budgetary constraints.
- Work in close collaboration with executive management on critical organizational matters and policies.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business informatics, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating conceptual strength and superior comprehension.
- Over 15 years of professional experience, including more than 10 years in a management role.
- Strategic capability to steer the IT Infrastructure area within IGEL's broader business framework.
- Comprehensive expertise in IT Infrastructure.
- In-depth experience with ITIL and ITIL-based processes, process design, system management, and project execution.
- Proven history of delivering technical transformation projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in both oral and written English.
