Postdoctoral Researcher in Wavefront Shaping Microscopy and Photoacoustics

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team at Embl-Ebi. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing novel wavefront shaping microscopes to image in deep biological tissues.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical, optical, electronic, and software components of custom-built wavefront shaping microscopes.
- Develop wavefront control strategies and integrate them into bespoke photoacoustic microscopes.
- Incorporate computational imaging methods into the instrument's operational workflow.
- Demonstrate new imaging technologies in collaboration with team members and biologists.
- Disseminate research results through scientific publications and presentations at international conferences.
Requirements
- PhD in physics, engineering, or equivalent field with a solid background in optics/photonics.
- Experience in building and aligning complex optical setups.
- Proficiency in programming hardware control (Matlab, Python, LabView) and/or simulation skills (CAD, ZEMAX).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English.
