Postdoctoral Researcher: Wavefront Shaping Microscopy and Photoacoustics

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team at Embl-Ebi, working on the development of novel wavefront shaping microscopy and photoacoustic imaging techniques.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop custom-built wavefront shaping microscopes for imaging in deep biological tissues.
- Develop wavefront control strategies and integrate them into bespoke photoacoustic microscopes.
- Incorporate computational imaging methods into the instrument's operational workflow.
- Demonstrate new imaging technologies in collaboration with other team members and biologists.
- Disseminate research results through scientific publications and presentations at international conferences.
- PhD in physics, engineering, or equivalent field with a solid background in optics/photonics.
- Experience in building and aligning complex optical setups.
- Proficiency in programming hardware control (Matlab, Python, LabView) and/or simulation skills (CAD, ZEMAX).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English.
