We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Engineer to join our Process R&D team at International Flavors & Fragrances. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving sustainability initiatives and reducing the environmental impact of our products.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support the development of sustainability strategies and initiatives across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and design sustainable products and processes.
- Perform Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) to identify opportunities for reducing environmental impact.
- Develop and implement sustainability metrics and reporting systems.
- Stay up-to-date with external trends and perspectives related to sustainability and provide consultation to businesses as required.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in sustainability, environmental science, or a related field. You should have a PhD or M.Sc. in a relevant field or a B.Sc. with extended professional experience. Relevant professional experience and a track record in similar sustainability roles are essential. Proficiency in using LCA software and experience in external reporting, compliance, and sustainability certification programs are also required.
You should be a data-driven and critical thinker with a business-oriented mindset. You should be able to perform independently as well as interact effectively within international and cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Fluency in English is required, and basic German language skills are also necessary due to the location.
