North America Underwriting Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support North American agency business with correspondence handled mostly in English
  • Underwrite casualty and property risks and carry out rate and accumulation analyses
  • Control activities for agency business in coordination with our local colleagues and partners in the United States
  • Visit clients and brokers in the United States and have the opportunity to work in the US for a longer period

Requirements:

  • A successfully completed degree in economics or law, commercial insurance training with a focus on liability insurance or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience with a (re)insurer or in the financial/investment sector would be desirable
  • Experience in controlling and monitoring agency business is an asset, as well as initial experience with start-up companies
  • An international mindset paired with proficient user skills in English and independent user skills in German
  • Confident manner towards customers and ability to work in a team
