Role Overview

We're seeking a skilled PR Associate to join our team. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for crafting compelling press releases, pitching stories to Web3 and industry-specific publications, and fostering relationships with journalists. You will work closely with our founders, builders, and visionaries to position them as thought leaders through written content and interview opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify news and updates across the peaq ecosystem that have a high likelihood of generating coverage.
  • Write clear, concise press releases that paint a colorful story.
  • Map relevant media outlets and journalists for every story and develop effective approaches.
  • Craft killer pitches that do a ton of work with only a handful of words.
  • Seek out relevant commentary and interview opportunities, work on thought leadership and executive positioning, and monitor the media for newsjacking opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and social media buzz, looking for creative ways to make the peaq ecosystem known.
Requirements
  • Native or native-level command of English (American or British English preferred).
  • A proven track record of writing quality PR content, with samples provided with your application.
  • At least 2 years' worth of experience in PR roles, in-house or in an agency.
  • A solid knowledge of the Web3 and tech media landscape.
  • A professional understanding of key PR tools and platforms, including Cision, HARO, and Qwoted.
  • A good understanding of social media platforms and their role in PR work.
  • A grasp of Web3 basics, with a deep curiosity for all things tech and an ability to package intricacies into a compelling story.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Professionalism, responsibility, and communicability, essential for a remote-first team.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • An in-depth understanding of Web3 and a passion for its emerging DePIN sector.
  • A network of existing contacts among media outlets, influencers, and other people of interest.
  • Additional background on editorial roles in Web3 and mainstream tech publications.
  • An experience with events, from negotiating panel slots to setting up interviews.
  • An affinity for creative communication and collaboration.
