LGC Axolabs specializes in a new class of drugs whose active ingredients are chemically derived from DNA or RNA. These oligonucleotide or nucleic acid therapeutics leverage years of expertise to help clients achieve success. Some of these drugs have already been approved and are successfully used against previously untreatable diseases. New drugs from this class are added every year.

About the Role

As Director of Project Management, you will oversee complex, high-quality, and time-critical projects within the Life Sciences sector. Reporting to the Senior Director of Project Management, you will lead the development and expansion of the local Project Management team. Your role involves actively shaping and refining project execution and strategy while supporting teams in achieving strategic objectives efficiently.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee all project management activities for challenging, time-sensitive, and customer-specific projects.
  • Identify, manage, and report on key project risks, driving risk management objectives.
  • Maintain, monitor, and communicate variances in the integrated project budget in close collaboration with relevant departments and Finance.
  • Manage ongoing projects, track deliverables, and ensure timely invoicing in collaboration with Finance.
  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

About You

You are a highly organized and results-oriented individual with a proven track record in managing complex projects within the Life Sciences industry. You possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Your ability to lead and motivate teams is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Science, Engineering, Business Administration).
  • 5+ years of experience in project management within the Life Sciences industry.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
