About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Improvement Director to join our team at EVIDENT Europe GmbH. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across our R&D sites globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize KPIs: Develop and implement strategies to enhance delivery, quality, and productivity using Agile tools and methodologies.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout our R&D organization, leveraging Agile tools and techniques to drive sustainable performance improvements.
  • Lead Meetings: Facilitate and lead regular meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Coach Leaders: Mentor functional leaders in Agile tools and methodologies to sustain performance improvements and engage their teams.
  • Support and Guidance: Provide ongoing support to build knowledge and capability in Agile tools and methodologies.
  • Policy Deployment: Collaborate with our CTO to develop and maintain policy deployment frameworks, bowler charts, action plans, and problem-solving processes.
  • Deploy Agile Tools: Identify and implement suitable Agile tools and techniques to improve operations and drive business results.
  • Performance Updates: Publish regular operational performance updates for our CTO and R&D leadership.
  • Optimize Programs: Execute optimization programs to improve delivery, quality, and productivity yearly using Agile tools and methodologies.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports to our CTO and have a dotted line to our Chief Transformation Officer.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in business or engineering (preferred).
  • Experience: 6+ years in continuous improvement, innovation, strategy, process management, or project management.
  • Skills and Certifications:
  • Hands-on experience in implementing and leading Continuous Improvement programs.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, DBS or similar methodologies, preferably with certifications.
  • Proven coaching and influencing abilities across organizational boundaries.
  • Proven management experience with a track record of delivering results.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and MS Office skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: Fluent in English; Japanese language skills are very beneficial.
  • Additional Experience: Regulatory or medical device experience is a plus.
