Category Development Manager

Haleon is a world-leading consumer health company that is shaping the future of everyday health for billions of people. We're looking for a skilled Category Development Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement category management strategies for customers in relevant categories
- Deliver compelling insights and category arguments to stakeholders, demonstrating Haleon's expertise in driving long-term sustainable category growth
- Customize local category vision and strategy, providing support for customers in developing long-term plans for categories
- Lead category thinking and execution within Germany and Austria for customers or groups of customers, aggregating data to deliver insights, trends, and recommendations
- Establish strong category relationships with top customers, ensuring customer requirements are integrated into joint business planning and customer marketing strategies
- Support in-market execution of category plans, proactively reviewing performance and providing customer sell-in stories to win and defend listings, as well as tracking performance of NPDs to derive recommendations and further growth potential
- Provide best-in-class assortment and shelf management services to identify customer-level opportunities
- Collaborate with commercial teams to enhance business planning and participate in cross-functional commercial teams to deliver annual negotiations with customers and ongoing customer interactions
- Track market performance, develop insights, and communicate them internally and externally to drive performance, evaluating promotion performance and mechanics and their impact on the category and performance
- Utilize Haleon's resources, such as the Shopper Science Lab and Tech solutions, Regional Category Development teams, and Global Marketing Channel resources, to deliver performance
- University degree in business administration, economics, or related field
- Strong track record of category management within a FMCG organization, with account management experience a plus
- Ability to influence and inspire others to deliver business results
- Ability to navigate complex situations and challenge the status quo with a can-do attitude
- Well-grounded knowledge in applying category management tools
- Strong analytical skills
- Highly passionate, innovative, and results-driven personality
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, demonstrated in excellent management of internal and external stakeholders
- Strategic thinking and true understanding of the shopper, experienced in transforming shopper insights into compelling category stories and channel plans
- Channel know-how of Mass Market (Drug, Grocery, Discount, and dCom)
- Self-reliant, decisive, and resilient, able to respond and adapt to a fast-moving changing environment
