About the Role:

Deutsche Börse AG is seeking a highly skilled Business Strategy Specialist to join its Market Data + Services department. As a key member of the Business Strategy and M&A team, you will play a crucial role in developing the strategy for the data business of Deutsche Börse AG further.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-lead strategic projects and key initiatives with long-term relevance for Deutsche Börse's data business, including inorganic and organic growth opportunities.
  • Perform independent market and competitor research on Deutsche Börse's data business to gain insights on major business and innovation trends.
  • Support the data business area with strategic and financial analysis as part of business case development, budget planning, and forecasting.
  • Prepare decision proposals, research summaries, financial analysis, and status reports for ongoing initiatives for senior management.
  • As a secondary function, support the coordination of financial planning and performance tracking, as well as internal control and risk analysis tasks for the Market Data + Services department.

Requirements:

  • University degree in economics, finance, or a similar field with excellent results.
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in business strategy, corporate development, or in-house consulting, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Excellent conduct of MS Office applications, specifically PowerPoint and Excel, with knowledge of financial modeling.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with a structured approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English is a requirement, with German language skills being beneficial.
