About the Project
PLAN'EAT is a Horizon Europe project that aims to develop effective tools and strategies to facilitate the transition towards healthy and sustainable dietary behavior in Europe. As the lead organization, TMG Research gGmbH is responsible for the development of true cost accounting (TCA) to analyze the environmental, health, and social impacts of European diets and their associated hidden costs.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for TMG Research gGmbH's True Cost Accounting program, including staying up-to-date with ongoing relevant national and international sustainability discussions.
- Lead strategic communications and outreach activities, including the production of targeted text and audio-visual content on relevant topics and issues, to present TMG Research gGmbH's true cost accounting work and impact to the outside world.
- Advise and support the PLAN'EAT team in the design, editing, and publication of key reports, development of graphics, short videos, PowerPoint presentations, newsletters, and other promotional materials for wider outreach.
- Act as the primary point of contact for communication matters for other PLAN'EAT partners and manage service providers (design agencies, editors, etc.).
- Develop, maintain, and regularly update TMG Research gGmbH's true cost accounting website.
- Track web and social media analytics to support the development of outreach strategies.
Your Profile
- Hold a bachelor's degree in communication sciences, international studies, politics, journalism, or a related field.
- Have knowledge of the German, European, and international sustainability community and relevant discussions.
- Have experience in developing communication strategies targeting policymakers and society.
- Have several years of relevant experience in editing and publishing outputs such as blogs, research, or policy papers that translate research findings into written pieces at the science-policy-society interface.
- Have relevant experience in website development and maintenance.
- Have relevant experience in the strategic use of social media and digital platforms; knowledge of digital publishing processes and how they impact content development.
- Have excellent spelling and grammatical skills, attention to detail, and quality control.
- Be able to prioritize work assignments, accuracy, and strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Have outstanding oral and written communication skills in English and German.
