Category Operations Manager

Job Purpose:

To support the Category/Business Manager in all aspects of vendor operational management to ensure best-in-class data integrity, system tools, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support end-to-end product and vendor lifecycle management, ensuring system accuracy and product adoption and creation.
  • Collaborate with the profit team to develop and implement vendor pricing strategies.
  • Manage the shipment and debit process in conjunction with the central team.
  • Work with the purchasing team to ensure effective provision management and stock allocation.
  • Produce sales and stock reports with Business Intelligence to inform execution plans.
  • Achieve quarterly Gross Profit (GP) targets.
  • Develop and maintain operational relationships with vendor peers to discuss future products, forecasting, and planning processes.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the business plan with the vendor business lead(s).
  • Provide support to the sales floor with pricing, shipment, and debit inquiries.
Requirements:
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Customer Focus and Interpersonal Skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A knowledge of product and technology portfolio.
  • IT industry knowledge, including Channel, Vendors, Programs, and Competition.
  • Experience with SAP R3 and Business Warehouse, as well as Microsoft Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Commercial/product experience in a Technology business is preferable.
  • Degree in a business-related subject is desirable.
