System Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Junior System Engineer (w/m/d) for our team of experts working on HGÜ-Leittechniksystemen. As a key member of our team, you will work with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and maintain new DC-Grids. Your focus will be on software development, conducting protection and coordination studies, and hardware integration of our solutions on our test fields.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement DC-Schutzkonzepte for HVDC-, FACTS-, or large converter applications
- Conduct software development and testing of SRS-Systemen (Steuerung, Regelung und Systemdynamik)
- Participate in the development of new functions and protection strategies
- Collaborate with the team to ensure system stability and security
- Support the implementation of new projects and the development of innovative solutions
- High school diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- First experiences in the fields of regulation and protection, especially in the development of DC-Schutzkonzepte for HVDC-, FACTS-, or large converter applications
- Experience in software project development and testing of SRS-Systemen
- Knowledge of MATLAB/SIMULINK, ideally in conjunction with real-time and embedded software, as well as modeling and simulation with PSCAD/EMTDC
- Fluent English skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
