Job Title: Legal Manager

La Française Systematic Asset Management GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Legal Manager to join their team in Frankfurt am Main. As a key member of the Compliance team, you will be responsible for providing legal support and guidance on fund-related and KVG-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and provide legal support for technical fund projects, including launch of new funds/share classes, mergers, fund liquidations, etc.
  • Draft and amend legal documents related to fund projects and other initiatives, such as sales prospectuses, PRIIP KIDs, investor publications, merger plans, webpage publications, etc.
  • Cover ESG-related topics and implement in fund documents and other publications in cooperation with the Compliance Manager.
  • Manage and negotiate fund and company-related contracts.
  • Update or expand data in the transparency register.
  • Coordinate KYC requests and support relevant departments.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects, internationally and locally.
  • Closely cooperate and exchange with colleagues from Groupe La Française in Paris.
  • Support the Compliance Officer/Manager.
Requirements:
  • University degree with a focus on law or comparable experience and skills.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience (e.g. at a KVG, an asset manager, big4, or as a lawyer).
  • Fluency in English and German (spoken and written) is essential, French is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of German asset management and capital markets law as well as basic knowledge of German corporate law.
  • Strong ability to identify and diagnose legal issues and ability to participate in and lead complex, cross-departmental and cross-functional projects.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and good decision-making skills.
  • Dedication, passion for the business and commitment to results.
  • Effective communication skills; open-mindedness / curiosity.
  • Excellent time management and self-organisation skills.
