Job Title: Legal Manager

La Française Systematic Asset Management GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Legal Manager to join our team in Frankfurt am Main. As a key member of our Compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the legal integrity of our fund-related and KVG-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and provide legal support for all technical fund projects, including launch of new funds/share classes, mergers, fund liquidations, and other initiatives.
  • Draft and amend all legal documents related to fund projects and other initiatives, including sales prospectuses, PRIIP KIDs, investor publications, merger plans, and webpage publications.
  • Cover ESG-related topics and implement them in fund documents and other publications in collaboration with the Compliance Manager.
  • Manage and negotiate fund and company-related contracts.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data in the transparency register.
  • Coordinate KYC requests and support relevant departments.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects, both internationally and locally.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues from Groupe La Française in Paris.
  • Support the Compliance Officer/Manager.
Requirements:
  • University degree in law or comparable experience and skills.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in a similar role, preferably at a KVG, asset manager, big4, or as a lawyer.
  • Fluency in English and German (spoken and written) is essential, with French being an advantage.
  • Knowledge of German asset management and capital markets law, as well as basic knowledge of German corporate law.
  • Strong ability to identify and diagnose legal issues and participate in complex, cross-departmental, and cross-functional projects.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and good decision-making skills.
  • Dedication, passion for the business, and commitment to results.
  • Effective communication skills and open-mindedness.
  • Excellent time management and self-organisation skills.
