The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Manager to join our team in Frankfurt. As a Legal Manager, you will be responsible for providing legal support and guidance to our fund management teams, ensuring that all legal requirements are met and that our clients receive the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support and guidance to fund management teams on all aspects of fund-related and KVG-related legal issues.
  • Coordinate and draft all legal documents related to fund projects and other initiatives, including sales prospectuses, PRIIP KIDs, investor publications, merger plans, and webpage publications.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including ESG-related topics and implementation in fund documents and other publications.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts related to fund and company operations.
  • Update and expand data in the transparency register.
  • Coordinate KYC requests and support relevant departments.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects, both internationally and locally.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues from Groupe La Française in Paris.
  • Support the Compliance Officer/Manager.

Requirements

  • University degree with a focus on law or comparable experience and skills.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in a similar role, preferably in the asset management industry.
  • Fluency in English and German (spoken and written) is essential, French is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of German asset management and capital markets law, as well as basic knowledge of German corporate law.
  • Strong ability to identify and diagnose legal issues and participate in complex, cross-departmental and cross-functional projects.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and good decision-making skills.
  • Dedication, passion for the business, and commitment to results.
  • Effective communication skills, open-mindedness, and curiosity.
  • Excellent time management and self-organisation skills.
