Senior Research Scientist – Translational Oncology

Research Opportunity at Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum

We are seeking a highly motivated Doctoral Researcher to join our team at the German Cancer Research Center. Our research group focuses on developing innovative approaches to improve immunotherapy of solid tumors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and optimize novel technologies, including prime editing, to study the interactions of CAR T cells with tumor cells.
  • Design and perform complex experiments involving various methods, including cloning, CRISPR/Cas9, viral transduction, and next-generation sequencing.
  • Collaborate with experts in the field, particularly with the Shifrut Lab at Tel Aviv University, as part of the DKFZ-MOST cooperational research program.
Requirements:
  • Completed studies with a diploma or master's degree in biology, bioengineering, biomedical science, or a relevant field.
  • Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Strong laboratory and writing skills, with a willingness to lead and perform in vivo studies.
