Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team in Frankfurt. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing critical facilities infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision to professional individual contributors and/or skilled, support individual contributors
  • Ensure the team is carrying out responsibilities in a timely manner and projects are progressing as expected
  • Manage personnel details, including salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching, and development
  • Assist with testing and coordinating projects and maintenance
  • Plan, coordinate, budget, and implement resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data centers
  • Develop and manage routine operational plans, meeting targets typically against a monthly plan
  • Provide input and guidance towards budget
  • Oversee contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards
  • Assist with start-up tests, documenting and reporting all problems
  • Communicate and coordinate activities and on-site staff during an incident

Qualifications

  • Minimum of proven years of related experience or equivalent work experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
