Mechanical Engineering Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Supervisor to join our team at teamtechnik Maschinen und Anlagen GmbH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supervising, mentoring, and supporting a team of Mechanical Engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and set development goals for team members
  • Coordinate with other departments to integrate systems effectively and resolve cross-functional issues
  • Review design documents, including drawings, BOM's, GD&T, schematics, risk assessments, and other deliverables of the department
  • Ensure engineering budgets of the projects are adhered to
  • Determine design solutions for machinery and machine parts and generate equipment drawings for manufacturing
  • Definition of purchase parts and creation of technical specifications
  • Perform design reviews internally and with the customer and obtain approvals
  • GD&T (Dimensioning and Detailing)
  • Perform risk assessments in machine safety
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Several years of experience in mechanical engineering
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing automated special machinery
  • Proficient in Solidworks and other engineering tools and software
  • Strong knowledge of special automation machinery design and GD&T
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide technical leadership
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
