Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at SCHMID. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new mechanical systems and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new mechanical systems and products
  • Conduct feasibility analyses and calculate assembly and component performance
  • Develop prototypes and functional samples
  • Select suitable manufacturing processes
  • Prepare and elaborate requirement specifications, FMEAs, and risk assessments
  • Plan, supervise, and document tests for new and further developments
  • Supervise development projects with a high degree of independence and personal responsibility
Requirements:
  • Completed studies in engineering (e.g. mechanical engineering, product development, or similar) or comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in the field of development/design
  • High degree of independence and personal responsibility
  • Joy in analytical work and transfer of knowledge
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge in the use of SolidWorks and SAP is an advantage
