Postdoctoral Researcher in Experimental Cardiovascular Medicine

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Institute of Experimental Cardiovascular Medicine (IEKM) in Freiburg, Germany. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects in the field of experimental cardiovascular medicine, focusing on catheter-based reperfusion imaging of cardiac electrophysiology.
About the ProjectOur team has recently described a novel mechanism of cardiac ischaemia-reperfusion arrhythmias and identified a way to prevent their occurrence. We are now developing and validating a catheter that would allow our two-zone reperfusion approach in vivo. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be responsible for testing and validating this catheter using advanced imaging approaches for studying whole heart electrophysiology.

Requirements- Excellent PhD or equivalent in a discipline relevant to biomedical research or medicine
- Hands-on research experience with imaging methods
- Track record with cardiac biology or electrophysiology is highly desired
- Scientific curiosity and the drive to actively shape your own research project are a must
- Excellent communication skills in English (B2 or higher)
