About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in Munich. As a key member of our Professional Services leadership team, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and fostering a high-performance culture within our internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership in planning, executing, and optimizing day-to-day operations to align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure cross-functional alignment and effective communication to support overall business success.
  • Oversee and optimize internal workflows and processes to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve overall organizational effectiveness.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement streamlined processes to drive operational excellence.
  • Drive change management within the team.
  • Oversee the billing and invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with finance and client-facing teams to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Implement improvements to streamline billing processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors.
  • Administer and own the PSA Tool, ensuring seamless alignment with team operations. Customize and optimize the tool for enhanced project management, resource allocation, and workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain data integrity and security within the PSA Tool. Continuously optimize the tool for improved efficiency, utilizing reporting for informed decision-making.
  • Manage integrations with other tools for a cohesive operational environment. Provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, and training to maximize team proficiency with the PSA Tool.
  • Lead and inspire a team of operations professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting their professional development and growth within the organization.
  • Efficiently allocate delivery resources with consultation from Heads of Departments.
  • Monitor and analyze resource utilization metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize team performance.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of operations and implement strategies to address any deviations from expected outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain regular reporting mechanisms to provide insights into operational performance.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and adaptability within the operations team.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency gains, driving initiatives to implement positive change.

Qualifications
  • Fluent in German, both written and verbal, is essential.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in an operations management role within the professional services industry is essential.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Having a professional level of English, both written and verbal, would be highly advantageous.
  • Legally authorized to work in Germany.
