Job Title: Expert (m/w/d) Quality Assurance - Multichannel (FSD & Supply Chain)

At METRO/MAKRO, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Expert to join our team. As a leading international food wholesaler, we cater to the needs of hotels, restaurants, caterers, and independent merchants. Our unique multichannel mix offers flexibility in purchasing goods in-store or via our digitally connected Food Service Distribution (FSD) delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support local and corporate QA teams in all matters QA, serving as the primary point of contact for QA matters in your designated area.
  • Provide support with standard implementation, including technical manuals, educational material, and trainings, and assist in the development of IT tools that help implement new QA requirements.
  • Maintain a global system to ensure compliance with global QA standards across METRO/MAKRO countries and external Logistic Service Providers.
  • Conduct warehouse assessments in various countries.
  • Oversee incident and crisis cases for the FSD companies you advise, providing technical assessments and guidance to enhance QA structures and efficiency.
  • Welcome and onboard FSD Quality Managers across the Metro Network, ensuring they are provided with everything needed and a touchpoint with our vivid QA community.
  • Use KPIs and review them to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Support FSD companies in getting GQA approval for our Own Brand meat production.
Requirements:
  • Robust expertise and a genuine passion for Quality Assurance (QA) and the world of Food Wholesale.
  • A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in QA operations with experience in HACCP and PRP, along with a proven track record in implementing a Quality Management System.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with people from different backgrounds and build rapport for QA topics.
  • A problem-solver, fast at connecting dots, and able to work with QA manuals and standards, applying them to real-world processes.
  • Technical food knowledge, ideally from a food quality or safety background.
  • Fluent English skills are a must, with other European languages a plus.
