At METRO GROUP, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Expert to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Expert, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our multichannel food wholesale operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Support local and corporate QA teams in all matters QA, including Supply Chain, Marketplace, Food Service Distribution (FSD) operations, and 1-2 FSD Companies.
- Provide support with standard implementation (LSPs, FSDs and Platforms), providing technical manuals, educational material and trainings and supporting in the development of IT tools that help implement new QA requirements.
- Maintain a global system to ensure compliance with global QA standards across METRO/MAKRO countries and external Logistic Service Providers.
- Conduct warehouse assessments in various countries.
- Oversee incident and crisis cases for the FSD companies you advise, providing technical assessments and guidance to enhance QA structures and efficiency.
- Welcome and onboard FSD Quality Managers across the Metro Network and ensure they are provided with everything needed and a touchpoint with our vivid QA community.
- Use KPIs and review them to ensure continuous improvement.
- Support FSD companies in getting GQA approval for our Own Brand meat production.
- Robust expertise and a genuine passion for Quality Assurance (QA) and the world of Food Wholesale.
- A track-record of a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in QA operations with experience in HACCP and PRP along with a proven track record in implementing a Quality Management System.
- A great communicator; able to collaborate with people from different backgrounds and know how to build rapport for QA topics.
- A problem-solver, fast at connecting dots and
- A comprehensive understanding of QA requirements in the Multichannel Food World. You understand supply chains, productions and know which Quality and safety standards matters.
- Knowledge of QA manuals and standards and apply them to real-word processes.
- Backed up with technical food knowledge ideally from food quality or safety background.
- Fluent English skills are a must, other European languages a plus
- You are part of an international and experienced team with a high degree of personal responsibility and independence in a friendly, highly dynamic, and proactive environment
- You will gain insight into the management holding of an international, listed retail group and work operationally on challenging projects
