About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to join our Amazon Logistik AF München GmbH - D93 team. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team that ensures the smooth operation of our site, meeting customer demand, and driving productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a High-Performing Team: You will be responsible for leading a team of operations professionals, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: You will analyze and implement changes to improve quality and productivity, ensuring our site operates at the highest level.
  • Oversee Projects: You will oversee projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and increase quality of service for customers within your area of responsibility.
  • Analyze Performance: You will analyze shift performance against relevant business objectives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing actions to enhance operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: You will work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardize shift practices, ensuring consistency across the site.
A Day in the Life

As an Area Manager, you will work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, ensuring it operates as efficiently as possible. Your main focus will be to own and drive a culture of safety, upholding quality and shift performance standards.

You will also oversee process improvements within your area, driving implementation and serving as a role model and mentor to new managers.

About the Team

Our Amazon Grocery Logistics (AGL) team is a dynamic and entrepreneurial group that breathes life into new ideas and incubates them until they grow into sophisticated businesses. We work behind the scenes to support new areas of the business, such as Amazon Fresh stores and our online grocery service.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills, working on a wide range of projects and initiatives that will help drive the success of Amazon Logistik AF München GmbH - D93.

Requirements
  • Relevant Experience: You will have relevant experience in people management, communication with stakeholders, and data analysis.
  • Education: You will have a degree and advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in the local language.
  • Skills: You will have relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains, as well as experience working with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
