About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Specialist to join our team at MAM Legal Ltd. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business processes and delivering exceptional services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on data protection laws and policies to internal teams across various sales channels.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor data protection policies, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Identify and assess data protection risks associated with emerging technologies and products, including online marketing and artificial intelligence.
  • Conduct threshold analyses, data protection impact assessments, and maintain the procedure register.
  • Train employees on data protection best practices and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as marketing, HR, IT, legal, and compliance to meet data protection requirements.

Candidate Profile:

  • Comprehensive and relevant legal expertise in data protection law.
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of data protection within an international corporation or a globally active law firm.
  • A strong interest in and understanding of technology, as well as the latest developments in both legal and technical fields.
  • Proven knowledge of the online environment and experience with data protection regulations in the digital sector, including ancillary laws (e.g., TTDSG, UWG).
  • Interest in and experience with artificial intelligence and its impact on data protection and legal developments (including the AI Act).
  • A sound economic understanding, along with a sense of responsibility, decisiveness, and assertiveness.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken German and English, at least C1 level.
