Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Protection Specialist to join our team in Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing NIO's data protection management system (DPMS) in close collaboration with the Head of Privacy Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and conduct privacy trainings to enhance employee understanding of NIO's privacy policies, data handling practices, and procedures.
  • Conduct data protection impact assessments and ensure the implementation of privacy risk mitigating measures in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the implementation and ongoing compliance monitoring of all trading partner and business associate agreements to ensure all privacy concerns, requirements, and responsibilities are addressed.
  • Regularly report on the identification of data protection risks and implementation of data protection measures to the Head of Privacy Europe.
  • Investigate and document data protection incidents.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified German lawyer or equivalent educational background.
  • ~5+ years of work experience in a law firm or global company, with specialized professional experience in advising and implementing data protection and privacy requirements.
  • ~ Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
  • Material knowledge of data protection, privacy, and data-related regulations in Europe.
  • Ability to manage and complete projects from beginning to end.
  • Good understanding of data flows, databases, and IT services in general.
  • Fluent in English and German.
