Income Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to lead our Income Tax Team Germany. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing tax returns and other filings, reviewing tax assessments, and providing tax advisory to German businesses.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Income Tax Team Germany (3-4 Certified Tax Advisors)
- Prepare tax returns and other filings, review of tax assessments
- Provide tax advisory to German businesses (support in business projects, tax and accounting questions, domestic restructurings)
- Support the German income tax audits
- Prepare the monthly tax reporting for US GAAP group reporting, the Year End tax reporting for statutory accounts as well as the quarterly tax cash forecasts
- Support the tax planning team on tax accounting impacts of projects
- University degree in Taxes, Finance, Accounting or Economics. Qualification as German tax advisor (Steuerberater)
- Long term relevant, professional working experience in the tax department of a public accounting firm or in a tax department of a multinational company and excellent knowledge and experience in the field of direct tax
- Excellent knowledge of US GAAP Tax Accounting as well as in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including HGB (German GAAP)
- Ability to think big picture and understand the impact of tax on business driven transactions
- Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment independently
- Strong communication skills and ability to present complex topics to management
- Fluency in English and German is essential
