We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at mediaire GmbH, a dynamic Berlin-based medtech startup revolutionizing radiology with AI-powered software.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop new software components for our medical products, including mdbrain and mdprostate, and architect the necessary changes for deploying our products in various setups.
- Identify and resolve complex issues in the existing code base.
- Ensure the high quality of our software by suggesting and introducing new technologies, improving quality standards, performing performance analysis, and proposing refactorings to the existing code base.
- Work on improving or adding new automations to optimize our automated testing and deployment infrastructure.
- Be proactive in suggesting ideas, solutions, and improvements during product and technical discussions.
- Guide and support junior engineers in their growth, lead periodic workshops to enhance the capabilities of the software team, and maintain our internal documentation.
- Graduated in Computer Science.
- 5+ years of work experience as a Backend Software Engineer.
- Proven experience with either AWS or GCP.
- Proven experience with complex software systems, including distributed systems, transactions, locks, and mutexes.
- Experience in debugging and performance analysis, including optimizing and improving the performance of software units.
- Good understanding of operating systems, networking fundamentals, and databases theory, including SQL.
- Experience using Docker.
- Able to find simple and maintainable solutions to engineering problems.
- 2+ years of experience working on Artificial Intelligence-related projects.
- Knowledge of the DICOM protocol/standard.
- Experience with (medical) 3D image processing.
- Experience with Frontend Technologies like JavaScript (ES6) and React.
- Fluency in German (at least C1).
