About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer - Backend to join our team at EGYM GmbH. As a key member of our software engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, efficient, and well-documented backend systems using Java, Golang, and other technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, and other backend components to support our frontend applications.
  • Work with our DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and monitoring of our backend systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, contribute to the improvement of our codebase, and help maintain our technical debt.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend systems.
  • Proficiency in Java, Golang, and other programming languages.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps tools.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, architecture, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
