Senior EWIS Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior EWIS Systems Engineer to join our team at Lilium. As a key member of our Electrical Wiring Interconnect Systems (EWIS) team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-voltage electrical cable systems for our aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to EWIS high-voltage integration activities, including harness final assembly support.
- Develop high-voltage cable construction proposals that take into account weight, price, and technical constraints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality designs.
- Manage suppliers and maintain strong relationships.
- Continuously improve processes, guidelines, and tools for EWIS design.
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of aerospace experience, with good knowledge of Part 21J and 25 design organization environments.
- Experience with high-voltage electrical cable design.
- Good knowledge of Siemens NX is beneficial but not required.
- Good knowledge of aerospace standards and specifications, such as AC43.13-1B, ATA chapter 20, ATA 100, S1000D, ARP4754A, and DO160.
- Demonstrable knowledge and ability to integrate state-of-the-art design and manufacturing methods into product concepts and designs.
- Good knowledge of harness routing and installations rules.
- Basic knowledge with PDM/PLM systems (Teamcenter or equivalent).
- Experience with regulatory requirements, standards, and aerospace certification procedures is beneficial.
- Strong motivation to help build processes, guidelines, and tools for EWIS design.
- High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomously.
- Target-oriented, driven work style with analytic problem-solving skills.
- Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
- Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial.
