About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior High Voltage Systems Engineer to join our team at Vaeridion GmbH. As a key member of our propulsion team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and certification of our aircraft's high voltage systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute technical tasks within the propulsion department for the Microliner development and certification.
  • Contribute to the definition, architecture, sizing, specification, development, and integration of the high voltage distribution system in the aircraft.
  • Develop physical and functional interfaces between the high voltage system and the aircraft structure and related systems and disciplines.
  • Coordinate HV system safety analysis and conduct system engineering tasks.
  • Plan, coordinate, and perform HV system validation and verification activities as per aerospace standards.
  • Develop and integrate the high voltage system digital mock-up with the aircraft 3D model.
  • Select, interact with, and manage suppliers for HV components such as voltage converters, contactors, fuses, EWIS, and grounding systems.
  • Lead the installation and integration of HV systems on an aircraft level.
  • Coordinate and implement HV EWIS as per applicable safety and installation EWIS requirements.
  • Participate in supplier Technical Review Meetings and Program Review Meetings.
  • Define and plan HV equipment qualification campaigns with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Support HV system hardware and software testing campaigns.
  • Provide engineering support for prototype final assembly and integration ground tests.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical systems design and integration within an aerospace OEM.
  • Proficiency in high voltage system design and analysis, including risks such as arc faults, electric shock, inductive behavior, and EWIS process implementation.
  • Experience with aircraft certification process, preferably EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25.
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering and safety analyses per aerospace standards.
  • Experience with electrical load analysis and electrical system simulation.
  • Assertive and clear communication skills, results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to interact efficiently with customers, authorities, suppliers, and internal organizational units.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, manage, and execute multiple simultaneous tasks.
  • Skilled in navigating early design uncertainties and driving progress through proactive proposals and collaborative idea sharing.
  • Positive and optimistic attitude, with a collaborative approach in a multicultural team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in another European language is a plus.
