Senior Financial Accountant with German Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant with German language expertise to join our team at Corpay. As a key member of our Finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial data, working closely with our international team to drive business decisions and meet regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the accounting process to produce statutory accounts for Plugsurfing entities within required timetables
- Ensure full tax compliance in your responsibility areas, including VAT in multiple VAT registrations
- Develop and maintain accounting processes to meet company targets and compliance requirements
- Participate in audit-related queries and contribute to accounting-focused development projects
- Be the key contact person for auditors and support the Finance team with ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed
- Fluency in German (C1-C2 level) in both written and oral forms
- Fluency in English (at least B2 level)
- Experience as a Financial Accountant with a proven history of delivering accurate and compliant accounting performance
- Mastery of German GAAP and a good understanding of different accounting standards
- Strong accounting skills and a can-do attitude with attention to detail
- Advanced user of Dynamics D365
- Good understanding of German direct (CiT) and indirect (VAT) taxation
