German Speaking Financial Accountant with Expertise

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant with German language expertise to join our team at Corpay. As a key member of our Finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial data, while also providing expert guidance on German accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the accounting team in producing statutory accounts for Plugsurfing entities within tight deadlines
- Ensure full tax compliance in your responsibility areas, including VAT in multiple VAT registrations
- Develop and maintain accounting processes to meet company targets and compliance requirements
- Participate in audit activities and development projects, providing expert guidance on German accounting standards
- Support the Finance team with ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed
Requirements
- Fluent in German (C1-C2 level) both in written and oral forms
- Fluent in English (at least B2 level)
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant with a strong background in German accounting standards
- Strong accounting skills and attention to detail
- Advanced user of Dynamics D365
- Good understanding of German direct and indirect taxation
- Strong tolerance to uncertainty and adaptation to a quickly changing work environment
