We are seeking an experienced Executive Editor to join our editorial team at Lexxion Publisher. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our portfolio of publications in European competition law, State aid, and public procurement law.
Key Responsibilities- Content Management: Oversee the management of legal journals, including desk reviews, editing, formatting, and typesetting of manuscripts, as well as liaising with authors, reviewers, and the editorial team.
- Research and Curation: Stay up-to-date with developments in relevant legal and policy areas and proactively curate the journals to reflect interesting developments in the focus areas.
- Business Development: Create and implement outreach and business development initiatives to increase the visibility of the journals in conjunction with our marketing team.
- Event Planning: Develop ideas for and plan seminars and conferences with our conference managers.
- Strong Interest in EU Law: A strong interest in European law and policy is essential for this role.
- Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree or higher in EU law/affairs, international economic law/affairs, or related fields is required.
- Experience: 1+ years of prior professional experience is necessary.
- Skills: Excellent planning, management, and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to interact with high-level professionals and experts.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail coupled with strategic, big-picture thinking.
- Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English (native speaker or equivalent) is required, with some German language skills helpful for everyday exchange with colleagues.
