Job Description

We're seeking a Senior DevOps Platform Engineer to join our agile squad in the submetering platform tribe. As a key member of our team, you'll develop and deliver the internal development platform, enabling other squads at ista to work efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany software development squads on their journey to the cloud, providing consulting and mentoring on CI/CD processes.
  • Design the overall technical architecture for our DevOps platform, collaborating with the squad.
  • Stay up-to-date with new trends and integrate them into our modern CI/CD process, helping squads improve quality, security, speed, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate on the strategy and vision for our DevOps and cloud transformation, sharing best practices with peers.
Requirements
  • Hands-on mentality and attention to detail, with a focus on complexity reduction.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in German a bonus.
  • Proven skills with CI tools (GitLab and GitLab CI), continuous deployment tools (Argo CD), and cloud orchestration with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
  • Experience with hyperscaler clouds (e.g., Azure) and associated infrastructure and PaaS/CaaS product suites.
  • Very good knowledge of the container ecosystem (Docker), container orchestrators (Kubernetes), and cluster fleeting technologies (e.g., Crossplane).
