Information Security Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Specialist to join our team at Speira GmbH. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the local implementation and compliance with our company's security guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Security Governance: Oversee and assist in monitoring information assurance and perform independent analysis of IT system concepts, making recommendations for design and optimization, and facilitating the assessment and approval process.
- Policy Development: Oversee ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of information security policies and procedures for the local site and make recommendations.
- Training and Awareness: Conduct basic information security training for new employees onboarding at the plant.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with various stakeholders in defining and analyzing system security requirements and providing solutions that best meet business needs.
- Risk Management: Identify and communicate technical risks and mitigation strategies as well as develop and maintain security documentation.
- Incident Response: Act proactively to prevent potential disaster situations at the local site and assist in assessing local information security incidents, determining required actions, and coordinating actions.
- Compliance and Audits: Diligently conduct and complete annual reviews and audits in accordance with the Information Security Management System (ISMS) requirements to ensure compliance with the local ISMS.
- Reporting and Communication: Communicate risks and recommendations to mitigate them and provide transparent KPIs.
- Asset Management: Support the regular identification and classification of information and physical assets within a centralized register for information assets.
- Education: A degree in information security, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of information security.
- Skills: A careful, responsible, structured, and team-oriented way of working. Very good English skills and very good knowledge of the local language (German or Norwegian).
