ESG Reporting Strategy Manager

Job Mission:

Build and lead ESG reporting and due diligence activities within Kia Europe, ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, and strategic standards. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement strategic ESG initiatives and promote strong ESG foundations across all Kia Europe functions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement ESG mandatory and voluntary reporting strategies, analyzing ESG data and trends to inform the ongoing development of the corporate ESG strategy.
  • Lead the ESRS Gap closure across KEU and its subsidiaries, aiming to develop and publish the Annual Sustainability Report.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data collection and analysis for reporting purposes.
  • Communicate the company's sustainability performance to internal and external stakeholders through detailed and transparent reporting.
  • Lead all data submission activities through a dedicated ESG tool and onboard new stakeholders onto the system.
  • Proactively track changes in ESG standards, ratings, and rankings relative to our industry and relevant global leaders.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, communications, and marketing teams to support the development of strategic ESG communications products.
  • Communicate with various stakeholders across our manufacturing site, HQ, NSCs, and internal departments to align on targets, requirements, activities, and documents.
  • Liaise with external consultancy providers to obtain recommendations related to the enhancement of Kia's ESG strategy, methods, framework, and related tools.
  • Lead all ESG auditing activities and ensure clear adherence to process and standards.
  • Develop and implement local-scaled ESG initiatives that enhance environmental and social sustainability of Kia's European business.
  • Increase awareness of ESG by creating guidelines, employee training, workshops, and generating various tools and guidance material.
  • Develop and distribute sustainability/ESG best practice recommendations for Kia EU Departments and markets.
  • Build a network of ESG-related key stakeholders across the value chain of Kia's European business.
  • Manage communications with Kia HQ to align on activities, strategies, and targets.

Your Talents:

Education:

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a technical degree in Science or Engineering.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related position or specialization.
  • Prior hands-on experience in corporate sustainability disclosures and due diligence, including in consulting or financial services.
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with little oversight.
  • Prior experience in the automotive industry (preferred).

Skills:

  • Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks, including CSRD/ESRS/EU Taxonomy/ISSB/GRI/TCFD.
  • Subject-matter expertise in sustainability matters, including related EU regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken). Additional European languages are a plus.
