Government Relations Manager

About the Role
HelloFresh is seeking a highly skilled Government Relations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Public Policy team, you will be responsible for managing our political work and stakeholder engagement on food and sustainability policy files in Germany, the EU, and across our global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategic positioning and engagement plans for food and sustainability policy files in the EU and across HelloFresh's global markets.
- Lead HelloFresh's engagement on files and political issues relevant for young European scale-ups in the food sector.
- Represent HelloFresh at food industry gatherings, trade associations, and coalition meetings.
- Conceptualize studies and reports to drive the debate around HelloFresh.
- Closely collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business and markets.
- Engage with key political and wider public stakeholders to establish a trustful dialogue.
- Define business-related objectives and metrics and help create and advance market strategies in line with stakeholders' expectations.
Requirements
- You have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience and have a strong understanding of the German and EU political landscape (additional countries are a plus).
- You have strong analytical capabilities and can communicate complex ideas efficiently, both verbally and in writing, in German (native) and English.
- Very strong understanding of public policy issues around food policy, sustainability, and circular economy.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the political system and legislative processes, environment, and institutions in Germany and the EU (previous working experience in a political institution is a plus).
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are experienced in working with senior stakeholders from across the business.
