Specialty Coffee Barista

Coffee Circle is a leading sustainable specialty coffee roastery based in Berlin, Germany. We're passionate about making high-end coffee experiences enjoyable and accessible to all.
We foster direct trade relationships with coffee farmers worldwide, ensuring fair prices and respectful treatment for everyone involved in the value chain. Our Coffee Circle Foundation e.V. invests €1 for every kilogram of coffee sold, supporting sustainable improvements in coffee-growing areas.
Our OfferWe're looking for a skilled Barista to join our team. The successful candidate will have:
- A one-year contract with a fixed salary corresponding to 30 weekly working hours
- The opportunity to cover extra shifts for operational needs, compensated on top of their fixed salary
- 20 days of holidays per year based on a four-day workweek
- Deutschlandticket (public transport) fully paid after the probation period
- Discounts on our coffee and equipment, as well as access to mental and physical well-being platforms
- Possibility of taking part in our company pension plan after the probationary period
As a Barista, you'll be responsible for:
- Brewing our outstanding coffee while following our set Coffee Circle recipes
- Collecting and managing orders with an impeccable customer approach
- Providing table service if necessary, always acting like an impeccable host
- Cleaning and maintaining our machines, kitchen, store, toilets, etc., making hygiene a priority in your daily work
- Acting as a Coffee Circle brand ambassador and representing the company values in front of customers
- Providing feedback to the management to communicate relevant insights about our daily operations
We're looking for someone with:
- Fluency in English (B2-C1 level) and conversational German (min. A2 level)
- 1 year of previous work experience in Cafés, with previous experience in Specialty Coffee being a huge plus
- A strong passion for coffee
- Openness and inclusivity, with a willingness to be part of a diverse community
- Punctuality and reliability, with a solid team playing spirit
- Basic Excel/Microsoft Office package skills
- Berlin-based with a valid EU working permit
