Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Balancing Zone Manager to join our team at BASF Renewable Energy GmbH. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the daily balancing group operations, ensuring the smooth exchange of data with partners and the Energy Data Management system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct plausibility checks and schedule manual interventions for the German, Belgian, and Dutch balancing groups, as needed.
  • Surveillance data exchange processes with partners and the Energy Data Management system according to MaBiS.
  • Reconcile and validate data across systems.
  • Coordinate with exchanges, trading partners, grid operators, and banks.

Requirements

  • Completed commercial training and/or corresponding studies, as well as professional experience in the energy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of balancing processes and energy markets in general, with a focus on Germany and additional countries a plus.
  • Good knowledge of scheduling and nomination systems, such as Kisters.
  • Knowledge of market communication towards TSO (MaBiS).
  • Confident handling of common MS Office products, especially Excel.
  • Structured, independent, and efficient work style, with a high-quality standard for your work.
