The ZEISS Group is seeking a skilled Product Owner to join our Omnichannel Sales team. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for the B2B2C marketplace, a key part of our channel strategy. Your primary goal will be to enable online sales of complete spectacles to our customers (ECPs) and deliver a best-in-class shop experience to consumers.
Key Responsibilities- Stakeholder of Omnichannel Sale's design and strategy process to understand market demands and consumer desires, viability for ZEISS Vision Care's strategy, and present and discuss feasibility for the marketplace.
- Derive, structure, and prioritize features and user stories and be responsible for managing the backlog.
- Interact with UI/UX specialists to deliver designed features meeting the expectation of an outstanding user experience.
- Coordinate the interdisciplinary and cross-functional implementation of new features for an international marketplace.
- Guide and instruct the Development Team and manage technical dependencies.
- Apply hybrid software development.
- Ensure all software releases are bug-free and meet the high expectations of our customers and internal processes.
- Be in close alignment with the Head of Marketplace regarding feature priorities, long-term product strategy, and technological roadmap.
- Ensure in-time rollouts of marketplace features.
- Enable evidence-based decision making by supporting data & analytics activities for tracking of consumer and customer behavior.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner with a strong background in software product development. The ideal candidate will have:
- A university degree in medical, computer science, engineering, business informatics, business information systems engineering, or a relevant adjacent subject.
- 4+ years of work experience in software product development with agile software development of complex products with a proven track record of successfully launched and operated agile projects.
- Knowledge of agile frameworks (SCRUM, SAFe) and tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- A strong result orientation, self-driven, and autonomous working style.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and data-driven mentality.
- A passion for consumer-facing, e-commerce-driven digital products that drive conversion, user behavior, and user-centered methodologies.
- The capability of managing and steering projects via cross-functional intercultural teams.
- Open communication, reliability, self-organization, and the ability to manage several workstreams in parallel.
- The willingness to take over responsibility and make decisions.
- Fluency in English, both written and oral, and German is desirable.
- The willingness to travel internationally and work with different time zones.
