Our Vision
At Terra One, we strive to accelerate the advancement of renewable energy infrastructure through the creation and execution of cutting-edge solutions. Our primary focus lies in battery storage, an essential element for establishing a flexible and eco-friendly power grid. By supplying energy during peak demand, we enhance the reliability and efficiency of the power grid while simultaneously minimizing CO2 emissions. Additionally, our AI-driven energy trading in the European market complements our battery storage solutions.
Our Team Dynamics
The energy trading division is tasked with optimizing assets across various markets, balancing renewable sources, and engaging in proprietary trading. We employ algorithmic trading strategies for short-term power across an expanding geographical area, supported by a highly skilled team of experienced software engineers, leading AI specialists, and power trading experts.
Position Overview
To achieve our objectives and amplify our impact, we are seeking talented individuals who are eager to share their expertise and enthusiasm for the energy transition. We aim to enhance our team with a Head of Power Operations (m/f/d). This role presents a unique opportunity to establish the core of our trading and balancing operations while exploring new areas of responsibility.
- Oversee energy data management processes
- Manage the nomination of schedules, including in ESS
- Serve as the primary contact for TSOs and DSOs, along with relevant projects and processes
- Act as a system and product owner for energy data management systems
- Coordinate with internal and external service providers
- Potential to expand responsibilities to include master data management and oversight of related systems such as virtual power plants or redispatch 2.0.
- University degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in energy data management, particularly MaBiS / MaKo; experience in other market areas is advantageous
- Initial leadership experience, such as in project management roles, is a plus
- Proficiency in automating data management processes using Python
- Fluency in both German and English
