Research Scientist in Cancer Biology

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist to join our team at the Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum (DKFZ) in Heidelberg, Germany.
Key Responsibilities- Conceptualize and develop own research projects in personalized oncology
- Develop and manage patient-derived model systems to predict response and overcome resistance
- Supervise and mentor junior scientists, postdoctoral researchers, and technical staff
- Plan and manage research projects, including grant writing and project coordination
- Contribute to the development of new cancer therapies and treatments
- PhD in a relevant field, such as cancer biology, precision medicine, or a related field
- Proven track record of research excellence, including first-author publications
- Strong expertise in cancer biology, precision oncology, and patient-derived model systems
- Experience in project management, grant writing, and team leadership
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- State-of-the-art research facilities and equipment
