We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join our team at the Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum (DKFZ) in Heidelberg, Germany.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct innovative research in radiopharmaceutical development and cancer biology, with a focus on breast cancer.
- Develop and execute experiments to evaluate the biological effects of radioligands, radiopharmaceuticals, and radiolabeled biomolecules.
- Investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms affecting tumor and healthy cell lines in vitro and in vivo.
- Collaborate with chemists to optimize drug leads and develop new radiopharmaceuticals.
- Write scientific publications and grant applications, and present research results in internal and external meetings.
- PhD and master's degree in biology, bioengineering, or a related field, with a focus on cancer biology and biochemistry.
- Strong expertise in cell culture, cell/tumor biology, and biological assays.
- Experience and approval for animal handling.
- Profound knowledge of molecular biology techniques, including PCR/qPCR, WB, FC, and IHC.
- Strong skills in advanced imaging techniques, such as microscopy, PET, and SPECT.
- Proficiency in bioinformatical and statistical tools to interpret complex biological data.
- Reliable experience in open radioactivity handling, radiation biology, and animal handling.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for animal testing.
- Strong publication record in internationally recognized scientific journals.
- Effective communication and teamwork capability in multi-disciplinary settings.
