Mission Overview

We are seeking a
Product Design Intern (f/m/x) to facilitate user research and ensure the design process of ecoligo's investment platform aligns seamlessly with our software development workflow.

This internship offers a 6-month opportunity to gain practical experience and enhance your skill set.


We are looking for a detail-oriented, driven, and empathetic intern who will collaborate with ecoligo's Product and Engineering teams, as well as our clients (investors), to identify their needs and create effective solutions that address real-world business challenges.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Deepen your understanding of the product lifecycle (from concept to execution)
○ Develop functional prototypes using Figma, based on user stories from Jira
○ Design user flows in Figma for Engineering teams

  • Recognize time and budget constraints when proposing design solutions
○ Participate in quality assurance during implementation as part of your sprint duties and provide feedback to Engineers

  • Acquire knowledge and apply our design methodology for product outputs
○ Implement ecoligo's design methodology and integrate it with our software development process
○ Validate design solutions from both business and usability perspectives with relevant stakeholders
○ Confirm design solutions from a technical standpoint by conducting feature breakdown discussions with the Product Manager and Engineering Team prior to development

  • Conduct user research
○ Gain experience in planning, executing, analyzing, and documenting essential user research (primarily user interviews) for new features and large-scale initiatives
○ Enhance your communication skills by presenting research findings and potential solutions to the product team and stakeholders, guiding product prioritization to ensure the development of high-value functionalities
○ Ensure that our research objectives are clearly defined and that meaningful insights are delivered promptly

  • Engage in user workshops
○ Create boards and online materials for facilitating both online and in-person workshops using FigJam
○ Contribute to establishing clear research goals and outcomes
○ Improve your skills in workshop moderation and facilitation
Candidate Profile

  • Native German speaker or at least B2 level, as you will interact with clients during user interviews concerning financial topics
  • Proficient in English, as it is our operational language. You will document design decisions and user interview results in English
  • Completion (or nearing completion) of a bachelor's degree in Design, preferably with a focus on Technology, UX/UI, or Web products, OR have completed at least one UX/UI bootcamp in the past year
  • Familiarity with adhering to a design system and understanding component principles
  • Ability to conduct engaging user interviews and online research
  • Participate in the ideation of design research workshops
  • A portfolio showcasing your research and design projects (user flows, journey maps, prototypes) in an online format (no PDFs please)
  • Solid experience with Figma (our prototyping tool) and FigJam (our workshop and retrospectives tool) is highly desirable
  • Understanding of agile software development methodologies and experience working with development teams
