About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Sustainability & ESG Manager to join our team at Daiichi Sankyo Europe. As a key member of our sustainability department, you will play a crucial role in implementing and expanding ESG projects to achieve our company's global sustainability vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and lead various sustainability projects in all three ESG areas: environment, social/employees, and governance.
  • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for ESG projects, including setting up necessary internal structures and processes.
  • Conduct benchmarks in the sustainability area, evaluate and analyze results, and identify emerging trends.
  • Proactively seek creative solutions to potential issues and drive cross-functional collaboration across the company.
  • Utilize your creativity to advance the sustainability agenda and drive it forward.

Requirements:

  • University degree in sustainability, business administration, social sciences, or a related field.
  • 5-6 years of proven professional experience in sustainability and ESG management, with a strong understanding of current and upcoming sustainability requirements.
  • Professional experience with sustainability reporting, reporting frameworks, and requirements, including CSRD and EU Taxonomy.
  • Strong strategic thinking and project management skills, with experience in a cross-functional role, preferably in an international group setup.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, good comprehension, and a structured way of working, with a high degree of initiative and service mentality.
  • Proven interdisciplinary work ability and team orientation, as well as a sense of responsibility, high commitment, and willingness to occasional travel.
  • Willingness to learn and proactively take on new tasks and challenges.
  • Strategic thinking and mindset, but also ability and willingness to work operationally.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • The ideal candidate is pragmatic, objective, proactive, and ambitious.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
  • English language proficiency is a must; German and/or Japanese language skills are of advantage.
