Job Title: Test Engineer

Cooper Standard is seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team. As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products by designing and implementing test cases, documenting defects and failures, and providing feedback to engineering teams.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Set up, program, and run test lab equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Design tests to meet customer specifications and ensure product quality.
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams on test results and help resolve issues quickly.
  • Perform failure analysis on tests that do not pass specifications and troubleshoot lab equipment failures.
  • Prepare test reports for internal and external customers and provide feedback on lab technician tests and work.
  • Collaborate with lab personnel to minimize past due test results and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Adhere to Cooper Standard's Leadership Model and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 year college or university degree or equivalent required.
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Fabrication, blueprint reading skills, and equipment knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge of statistics and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent technical and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
